Tonight we played for our friend and neighbour Tim Day’s going away party in his front yard. It was a short set of only covers. For the sake of being pedantic, here’s the setlist from tonight:

I Wanna Be Like You (From The Jungle Book, Louis Prima cover)
These Boots Were Made For Walkin’ (Nancy Sinatra cover)
Money (Beatles/Barrett Strong cover)
Sesame Street (Joe Raposo cover)
I Can’t Stand Losing You (The Police cover)
Teenage Dirtbag (Wheatus cover feat. Kirstin Thelwall)

Notes:
- BG&F planned originally to do a set of acoustic versions of their songs but changed their minds at the last minute to do a full-electric set of all covers they had previously played live excluding I Can’t Stand Losing You which was a live debut.

BG&F Mini-Tour Diary 2012

Recently we embarked on a tour, called Uni Bar Tour 2012. The dates of the tour are as follows:

 17/2 Lismore Uni Bar
24/2 Lismore Uni Bar

Songs played on the tour:

The Wrong Way
Vacation
Gets Me Every Time
Don’t Stop Robot
Movin’ On
Not Today
Cold War

Nicotine was played as an encore song on 24/2  featuring “These Boots Were Made For Walkin’” in the middle section.

Covers played on the tour:

She’s So Fine (Easybeats cover) (24/2)
Money (Barrett Strong/Beatles cover) (featured Ally Palmer on keys on 24/2)
Sesame Street (both nights)

Notes:
- This pair of shows marked the first time the band did not play “Nicotine” in the main set, saving it for an encore the first night and not playing it the second.
- For the 17/2 show, the band wore black T-Shirts featuring mispelled/mispronounced versions of other local band’s names including “The H Band” (The H Gang), “The Agronauts” (The Argonauts), “Noman And Garfunkel” (Norman And Louise) and “Glam Warrior” (the band currently known as The Familiars)
